The Downwind Performance Series is the first foil in our new Armstrong Performance Series and was developed specifically for the SUP downwind division in the interisland channels of Hawaii. Already proven at the Molokai2Oahu World Championships under the feet of team rider Oskar Johansson. the DW Performance Series is designed for SUP downwind experts looking for the next level of freedom on the open water.

Project development began by collecting wave shape and real-world riding data from the channels between the islands of Hawaii to determine specific design parameters.Leading fluid dynamics (CFD) resources helped optimize a foil shape that provides extreme top end glide with achievable bottom end airspeeds for racing launches in milder conditions.The result is remarkably stable at high speeds.
