Main window panel: 6 mil X-Ply film with a black Ultra-PE fiber that provides high modulus elongation strength and high tensile tear strength. The fiber configuration allows for maximum fiber performance while blending into the background. Black yarns have extremely low reflectivity. meaning they absorb all the light and disappear when you look through the sail for the best possible uninterrupted view through the sail’s window.Upper window panels: 5 mil dimension polyester X-PLY models are designed for reduced stretch and increased tear resistanceUpper body color panels: 2.5 mil scrim from Dimension-Polyant is a polyester scrim plusFoot/tack panel: 4 mil Aramid Scrim features an improved scrim with larger denier fibers while retaining the high-strength Aramid X-PLY. It has a much higher tear and puncture resistance at the highest load for pure wave riding.Carbon stretch control tapes are made from bundles of pre-tensioned carbon fibers to ensure low stretch and no curling.
