The Sonar High Aspect Front Wing series is designed for the highest possible speed and efficiency in a range of disciplines – from kite foiling to prone foil surfing. With this type of wing. you need minimal pump and power to create planing. The shorter chord length determines the profile thickness. and a thin profile reduces drag. The span gives you stability and a slightly larger turn radius than a lower aspect ratio wing of the same size. The wingtips have been refined to ensure that there is no ventilation when you break through with the tip. giving you the ability to fly tighter turn radii at higher speeds without losing speed. With excellent lift at high speeds. the HA850 through HA1250 are the core sizes for foiling and prone surf. The larger HA1250-HA1450 are ideal for dock launches. pumping to reach wave after wave. coastal runners or stealing wakes. Downwind: Waves move faster in the open ocean. slower in shallow water or near shore. The faster you move through the water. the more options you have to choose a more efficient line. The smaller the wing. the less glide area = less lift and higher breakaway speed. HA series wings are designed for lighter/more experienced riders to foil in faster seas.
