The design difference

The UFO has changed kite foiling forever by eliminating struts for exceptional levels of drift. upwind range and response. The UFO V3’s FlexLITE airframe. made of 140g/m2 high-strength polyester. further reduces the UFO’s weight without sacrificing performance or durability. With swept wingtips and a smart Compact Swept C canopy shape. the UFO V3 was designed for effortless water launching. Complementing the UFO’s optimized minimalism is the new zipperless roll-top kit bag. which reduces weight to an absolute minimum while maximizing comfort and packability.

FlexLITE

Underpinning the UFO V3’s improved performance and lighter weight is FlexLITE. used on the leading edge and struts of the airframe. FlexLITE features an increased open 1:1 thread alignment that allows the frame to flex and breathe under the influence of the rider. This flex provides more responsive and quicker steering and allows the rider to create more visible wind through the loop. At 140 grams per square meter. FlexLITE’s weight reduction optimizes drift and provides less drag.

TrimFlight bridle

With 25% thinner lines. the TrimFlight Bridle offers the lowest drag. significantly increasing the efficiency and responsiveness of the UFO. The geometry. length and placement of the lines are not only lightweight. but were designed to maximize the premium performance characteristics of the UFO’s Hybrid Compact Swept C Shape.

Compact Swept C Canopy

The UFO V3’s patented Compact Swept C shape features a compact. low aspect ratio arc that provides exceptional control. sweep and drift characteristics. The swept wingtips are specifically designed for a zero-strut kite to ensure effortless and reliable relaunch on the water. Rider Customization System (RCS)

Our Rider Customization System (RCS). which connects three knots on the reins and three knots on the flying lines of the Sentry Control Bar. allows you to fully customize the performance of the UFO. The RCS allows you to perfectly tailor the UFO’s handling. power delivery and performance to your riding style and the conditions of a particular session.
